Ares Moves to Oust John Textor From Running Football Empire

Ares Management Corp. has moved to weaken John Textor’s operational control of his football club group, after continued losses and tension over one of the credit investor’s biggest sports bets.

Textor is no longer a director of Eagle Football Holdings Bidco Ltd., a UK holding company for his investments in teams including French football club Olympique Lyonnais, according to a filing on Tuesday.
