Rob Jetten became the Netherlands’ youngest-ever prime minister on Monday, taking charge of a politically fractured country that needs to grow its military and navigate increasingly complex relationships with China and the US.

The pro-European Union leader was sworn in alongside his cabinet, which pulls from a governing coalition featuring Jetten’s center-left Democrats 66 group, the conservative Christian Democrats, and the center-right People’s Party.
