Angola expects revenue from non-oil sources to exceed oil receipts in 2026 for the first time as the government broadens its tax base, said Finance Minister Vera Daves de Sousa.

“It was basically always the same taxpayers paying,” De Sousa told an economic forum in Luanda, the capital, on Monday. “We are bringing into the system those who were operating on the margins,” she said, referring to efforts to formalize parts of the economy that have largely remained outside the tax net.
