NewYork-Presbyterian Nurses Reach Tentative Deal to End Strike
A historic nursing strike in New York City is poised to end after more than 4,000 workers reached a tentative deal with NewYork-Presbyterian after six weeks of negotiations.
The New York State Nurses Association, a labor union, said Friday striking members will vote to ratify a new contract that includes a more than 12% pay increase, improves staffing standards and bolsters safeguards against workplace violence.
