The International Monetary Fund’s board will meet on February 26 to consider a four-year, $8.1 billion loan program for Ukraine, people familiar with the matter said.

The Washington-based lender is expected to approve a new aid package agreed at the staff level with Kyiv in November. The fund had previously demanded that Kyiv submit a domestically unpopular tax bill, but has since dropped the requirement.
