Texas Roadhouse Inc. shares climbed after the company reported robust sales growth for the start of the first quarter, even as fourth-quarter same-store sales fell short of Wall Street forecasts.
Same-store sales in the first seven weeks of its first quarter rose 8.2%, the company said in a statement Thursday. That compared with a 5.9% increase expected by analysts for the full first quarter in a Bloomberg poll.
