Schroders Buys UK Bonds as It Looks Beyond Political ‘Noise’

Schroders Plc is buying UK government bonds and shifting into longer-dated debt, a bet that Bank of England interest-rate cuts will spark a rally in gilts.

Having previously focused on short-term bets tied to borrowing costs, the firm this week extended into 10-year maturities, James Ringer, who manages a $1.1 billion global bond fund, said in an interview.
