Bulgaria Schedules April Vote as Ex-President Gains in Polls

Bulgaria will hold a snap parliamentary election on April 19th as the euro area’s most recent member seeks to break an extended political deadlock with its eighth ballot in five years.
President Iliana Yotova announced the timing for the snap vote on Wednesday as she said she’ll appoint an interim cabinet to prepare the country to head to the polls.
