Ovintiv to Sell Anadarko Oil, Gas Assets for $3 Billion

Ovintiv Inc. agreed to sell its Anadarko oil and natural gas assets to an undisclosed buyer for cash proceeds of $3 billion, according to a statement Tuesday.

The deal comes just weeks after the Denver-based driller’s $2.6 billion takeover of NuVista Energy Ltd. Ovintiv rose as much as 4.2% in after-hours trading.
