Kinross Gold Mine Project Gets Fast-Tracked by Ontario

A Kinross Gold Corp. project is getting fast-tracked under a new government initiative to speed up mining development in the Canadian province of Ontario.

Kinross’ Great Bear Project — located in Ontario’s Red Lake mining district — will be accelerated under a framework aimed at streamlining permitting and will reduce government review times by 50%, Ontario’s Ministry of Energy and Mines said on Tuesday.
