For Denmark’s prime minister, Donald Trump’s Greenland grab now looks like a crisis too good to waste.

Public support has swung behind Mette Frederiksen on the back of her standoff with the US administration, leaving her weighing whether to call a snap election to capitalize on the momentum. The vote must be held by Oct. 31, but Frederiksen can summon Danes to the polls whenever she feels is most opportune.
