Billionaire Ed Roski Nixes Sale of Texas Warehouse for ICE Jail

Billionaire Edward Roski Jr.’s Majestic Realty Co. said Monday it won’t sell a warehouse near Dallas to the Department of Homeland Security, which planned to turn it into an immigration mega-jail.

“Majestic Realty Co. has not and will not enter into any agreement for the purchase or lease of any building to the Department of Homeland Security for use as a detention facility,” the company said in a statement posted on social media, adding that they “look forward to continuing our work to find a buyer or lease tenant that will help drive economic growth.”
