Polish Higher-Than-Forecast Inflation Puts Rate Cut in Doubt

Poland’s inflation slowed less than forecast in January casting some doubt on the expected interest rate cuts next months.

The consumer price index rose 2.2% from a year earlier, the statistics office said on Friday. Most economists predicted it will ease to 1.9% from 2.4% in December.
