Ecuador’s President Daniel Noboa said he’ll govern the country from the crisis-hit Pacific port of Guayaquil after its mayor was jailed this week.

Noboa, 38, said he wants to base his government there for several weeks, to address problems such as crime, housing and education, according to a report of his speech in Expreso newspaper.
