Hermès Sales Beat Expectations on Strong Birkin Bag Demand

Hermès sales grew on robust demand for its coveted Birkin bags, with one of the luxury industry’s most resilient players chalking up gains across all markets and most of its products.

Fourth-quarter revenue at constant exchange rates rose 9.8%, Hermès International SCA said in a statement Thursday. Analysts were expecting a gain of 8.24%. Recurring operating income for the year also beat estimates.
