Some of the largest units of the Dangote oil refinery in Nigeria reached their nameplate capacity of 650,000 barrels a day after a yearlong ramp-up.

The plant, owned by Africa’s richest person Aliko Dangote, completed a series of performance tests to measure efficiency with the crude distillation unit and motor spirit production block running at their top level, the company said in a statement on Thursday.
