Nexperia Feud Extended as Court Orders Probe Into Chipmaker

A Dutch court ordered an investigation into chipmaker Nexperia BV, deepening a legal dispute that wrested control away from Chinese owner Wingtech Technology Co. and triggered supply disruptions across industries.

Along with opening the probe, the Enterprise Chamber of the Amsterdam Court of Appeal on Wednesday upheld measures including freezing Wingtech’s voting rights, appointing a trustee to oversee the Nijmegen-based company and suspending Wingtech’s founder Zhang Xuezheng as Nexperia’s chief executive officer.
