Lithuania’s prime minister signaled openness to a demand by China to restore diplomatic relations, marking a potential turn in the Baltic nation’s fraught relationship with the world’s No. 2 economy.

Inga Ruginiene, whose Social Democrats lead a coalition government in Vilnius, said she would be prepared to consider renaming a Taiwanese trade office at the center of the tension between Lithuania and China since 2021.
