Egypt Inflation at Lowest in Months Gives Scope for Rate Cut

Egyptian inflation slowed to its lowest level since September, potentially giving scope for another interest-rate cut later this week.

Consumer-price growth in urban areas was 11.9% in January, compared with 12.3% the month before, state statistics agency CAPMAS said Tuesday. On a monthly basis, inflation was 1.2% versus 0.2% in December.
