Boeing Mapping Plans To Hike 737 Jet Production to Record Rate

The planemaker has installed tooling to support a new 737 final assembly line in a traditional widebody plant, and is hiring mechanics and engineers as it prepares to start up manufacturing by mid-year, Katie Ringgold, who heads Boeing’s 737 program, told the Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance conference on Tuesday.
