Barclays Lifts Bonus Pool Across Bank by 15% to £2.2 Billion

From top to bottom, staff across Barclays Plc are benefiting from the bank’s outperformance last year.

The firm said on Tuesday that it paid £9.4 million ($12.8 million) to Chief Executive Officer CS Venkatakrishnan, up 12% year-on-year. The group’s bonus pool, meanwhile, increased to £2.21 billion, its highest in at least five years and an increase of 15% on 2024. Many more junior staff at the bank are receiving £500 in share awards.
