Colombian prosecutors plan to charge Ecopetrol SA Chief Executive Officer Ricardo Roa over alleged violations of campaign spending limits in President Gustavo Petro’s 2022 presidential bid, El Tiempo reported.

In a separate probe, the attorney general’s office is also investigating Roa for alleged influence peddling linked to the purchase of a Bogotá apartment from an oil executive, the newspaper said, without detailing its sources.
