From $1,000 motel rooms to $12,000-a-seat private jets, American football fans are being asked to shell out astronomical sums to attend this year’s Super Bowl.

Private jets are descending on the San Francisco area ahead of this weekend’s National Football League championship at Levi’s Stadium, which pits the Seattle Seahawks against the New England Patriots, a rematch of the 2015 title game that is widely considered one of the most exciting in the league’s history. There’s an added lure this year for those less interested in sportsball than entertainment: a half-time show featuring the Grammy Award-winning musician Bad Bunny, who got more streams on Spotify last year than anyone in the world.
