Orsted A/S agreed to sell its European onshore business to Danish investor Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners for €1.4 billion ($1.7 billion), as the company completes a divestment plan.

The Danish renewable developer put its onshore business up for sale earlier this year as part of a broader effort to repair its balance sheet. That included a massive capital increase, after Orsted faced a string of setbacks in the once-promising US offshore wind market.
