Julius Baer Names Ex-Finma Head to Board Amid Probe by Regulator

Julius Baer Group Ltd. nominated former Finma Chief Executive Officer Urban Angehrn to join its board of directors, strengthening regulatory expertise on the governance body while it’s still being probed by the Swiss watchdog.

Angehrn will be appointed subject to shareholder approval at the bank’s 2026 annual general meeting, the bank said in a statement Monday. He ran Switzerland’s top banking regulator between 2021 and 2023, before resigning over health reasons.
