Poland Inks $4.3 Billion Deal for ‘Drone Wall’ to Deter Russia

Poland will start building its anti-drone defense system as the NATO member is racing to secure its airspace against threats from Russia.

Warsaw is seeking to plug gaps in its air defense after an incident in September, when NATO scrambled fighter jets to intercept around 20 drones that crossed into Poland during a Russian airstrike on Ukraine, forcing the alliance to deploy expensive missiles against cheap unmanned aircraft.
