Fresh Claims Hang Over Diageo’s East Africa Deal With Asahi

A Kenyan contractor filed a fresh case against Diageo Plc, asking a court to block its proposed sale of East African assets to Asahi Group Holdings Plc until a separate matter is resolved.

Jilk Construction Co. wants arbitration proceedings over a 2.45 billion-shilling ($19 million) compensation claim in connection to contracts in western Kenya concluded before April 30, an application filed this week showed.
