US Government Weighs Transparency for Venezuelan Oil

President Donald Trump’s administration is still working out how to ensure financial transparency for proceeds from sales of Venezuelan oil, according to the head of the official US export credit agency.

Nearly four weeks after US forces captured Venezuela President Nicolas Maduro, mechanisms to ensure US accountability over crude remain a “work in progress,” US Export-Import Bank Chairman John Jovanovic said in an interview Thursday.
