Gabon Government In Talks With World Bank on $500 Million Loan

Gabon’s government is in negotiations with the World Bank for a $500 million loan to support the economy, according to people familiar with the matter.

A meeting took place on Tuesday between government officials and representatives of the Washington-based lender, said the people who asked not to be identified because the information isn’t public. A Gabonese government delegation will travel to Washington in the coming weeks for further discussions, the people said.
