Volkswagen AG plans to increase exports of cars made in China as the manufacturer tries to benefit from the Asian country’s low production costs amid a bruising price war there.

The German automaker has started shipping vehicles from China to the Middle East and South East Asia. It’s also eying selling its new Chinese models in Africa and South America, Chief Executive Officer Oliver Blume told reporters in Berlin.
