Sri Lanka Keeps Key Rate Steady to Support Cyclone Recovery

Sri Lanka’s central bank left its benchmark rate unchanged for a fourth straight meeting, as it looks to support the economy’s recovery from a devastating cyclone last year while navigating inflation toward its target.

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka maintained its overnight policy rate at 7.75% on Wednesday. All seven economists surveyed by Bloomberg expected no change.
