Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic nominated Tomislav Coric, a central bank vice governor, to take over as finance minister.

Coric, 46, was named to succeed Marko Primorac, who plans to take up the post of vice president of the European Investment Bank. The new finance chief will have to be approved by lawmakers, Plenkovic told reporters in Zagreb on Monday.
