Nigerian President Bola Tinubu appointed ambassadors to the US and three other countries, more than two years after the positions fell vacant.

Lateef Are, a retired colonel, was named ambassador-designate to America, while Ayodele Oke, a former director-general of Nigeria’s National Intelligence Agency, was nominated as ambassador to France, the presidency said in a statement late Thursday.
