The Czech government has decided against selling light combat aircraft to Ukraine, the leader of a far-right party in the ruling coalition of Prime Minister Andrej Babis told reporters on Monday.

Tomio Okamura, head of the Freedom and Direct Democracy Party, criticized Kyiv’s offer to buy the jets, which President Petr Pavel disclosed over the weekend. Babis said Monday the decision hasn’t been made, but the defense minister told the cabinet the army will need those planes.
