Guinea Former Military Leader Doumbouya Sworn In as President
Guinea’s former military leader Mamadi Doumbouya has been sworn in as president for a seven-year term, marking a return to constitutional order in the West African nation four years after a putsch.
“We will build strong, credible institutions, dedicated solely to serving the common good,” Doumbouya said in a speech. He pledged to “govern with integrity, justice and responsibility.”
