But as the rapid buildout strains the country’s power grid and pushes up consumers’ electricity bills, his administration is grappling with voters’ cost-of-living concerns ahead of November’s congressional elections.
“I never want Americans to pay higher Electricity bills because of Data Centers,” Trump posted on his Truth Social platform in January, adding that technology companies that build these facilities must “pay their own way.”
