French Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu’s office said actions by far-left and far-right parties in parliament had made it impossible to pass a 2026 budget via a vote and that it will have to use an alternate measure to adopt one.

Lecornu and his government will propose amendments to the initial budget draft on Friday.
