Wizz CEO Sees 20% Growth on Airbus Jets, Fewer Groundings

Wizz Air Holdings Plc’s chief executive officer said the budget carrier expects 20% growth this calendar year as it adds Airbus SE jets and returns grounded planes to the skies.

The Hungary-based airline sees that boost in its year-on-year performance in 2026, Jozsef Varadi said Wednesday during an interview outside Rome. On Wednesday, the company responded to Bloomberg News requests for clarification that the projection was for its fiscal year, but on Thursday it said Varadi was referring to the calendar year.
