UK Man Charged With Hack-to-Trade Scheme Faces US Extradition
A British national, accused of running a “hack-to-trade” scheme, is facing extradition to the US after losing a legal challenge in London.
Robert Westbrook, 40, was charged in the US with targeting company executives via unauthorised computer access. Prosecutors said Westbrook obtained market sensitive information on company earnings reports and used this to generate profits of around $3.75 million.
