Poland Seen Pausing Rate Cuts in Tight Decision: Decision Guide
Poland’s central bank is poised to pause its series of interest-rate cuts, according to analysts, in what could be a close decision following another surprisingly low inflation readout.
Monetary Policy Council member Ireneusz Dabrowski said last week that another reduction in borrowing costs was equally likely as keeping rates on hold. Still, 29 of 32 economists surveyed by Bloomberg News predict the panel will maintain the benchmark at 4% on Wednesday.
