Oxford Biomedica Plc said it’s in preliminary discussions with EQT over a possible cash offer from the Swedish investment firm.

The negotiations follow unsolicited proposals from EQT that were rejected by Oxford Biomedica’s board, the UK-listed provider of cell and gene therapy services said after the close of trading Wednesday.
