Uganda’s main opposition leader called on his supporters to protest any irregularities in this week’s presidential election, evoking so-called Gen Z protests last year that toppled governments from Madagascar to Nepal.

Bobi Wine, who’s vying for a second time to unseat Yoweri Museveni, said there were signs the outcome of the Jan. 15 vote would be rigged. Museveni, 81, has ruled the coffee-growing East African nation for the past four decades.
