S. Korea Denies North Korea’s Claims of Drone Incursions
South Korea denied Pyongyang’s claims it had violated North Korean airspace with drone incursions, saying they were not operated by the South Korean military.
The drones referenced by Pyongyang — both in alleged incursions reported in September and in claims made earlier this month — were not models used by South Korea’s armed forces, a defense ministry spokesman said at a media briefing in Seoul on Saturday. The military also has no record of operating unmanned aerial vehicles on the date cited by the North, he added.
