Mexico Seeks Conciliation After Trump Threatens Land Strikes

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum called for greater coordination with the US on security after Donald Trump’s latest threats to attack drug cartels on land.

The US president has repeatedly asserted that the cartels control Mexico, and hinted again at taking action against them in the immediate aftermath of the shock military operation he ordered last weekend to capture Venezuela’s Nicolás Maduro.
