ECB’s Radev Says Current Level of Rates Is Appropriate

European Central Bank Governing Council member Dimitar Radev indicated he is comfortable with interest-rate settings, according to an interview in Capital newspaper.

“The current level of interest rates can be assessed as appropriate in terms of the available information and the inflation outlook,” said Radev, who heads Bulgaria’s central bank. “The Governing Council of the ECB is not committed to a predetermined trajectory. Decisions are taken at each meeting, depending on the incoming data and the balance of risks.”
