Volkswagen AG’s US sales of VW and Audi vehicles plunged in the fourth quarter, as Donald Trump’s tariffs and undercutting of electric vehicles take a toll on Europe’s biggest automaker.

Sales at the German manufacturer’s namesake brand slumped by a fifth in the three months through December due to cratering demand for models including the Atlas sport utility vehicle and the Jetta sedan. VW’s full-year sales fell 13%. Audi’s sales dropped by more than a third last quarter, for an annual decline of 16%.
