The European Central Bank is in a “good place” but must be prepared to adjust its monetary-policy settings in either direction should the need arise, according to Governing Council member Yannis Stournaras.

“We have to preserve optionality and stand ready to move our policy rates in either direction,” the Greek official told Econostream Media. “If we happen to be in a better or weaker position than expected, we will take appropriate action.”
