Shein escaped efforts by French President Emmanuel Macron’s government to suspend its online platform in the country following outrage over sales of childlike sex dolls and weapons.

Such a ban would have been “disproportionate” and constituted an “unjustified” restriction on free enterprise considering that Shein had moved quickly to remove the items in question, a Paris court said in a ruling on Friday.
