British Airways Owner Sees Challenge With Minority Stake in TAP

IAG SA has warned that owning a minority stake in TAP SA will present a challenge for the British Airways parent, which would prefer majority ownership to lift the Portuguese airline’s margins.

Portugal’s government plans to sell 49.9% of TAP, which IAG Chief Financial and Sustainability Officer Nicholas Cadbury said on Friday would be an “issue” for IAG.
