Belgian Deficit of Around 5% Is Too High, Central Bank Warns

Belgium’s budget deficit is expected to stabilize at around 5% of gross domestic product, but that’s still far too much, its central bank said.

In a presentation of economic forecasts on Friday, the National Bank of Belgium released a fiscal outlook that showed the budget shortfall stuck well above the European Union’s 3%-of-output limit.
